Pretty darn good! My lady friend said "I don't hate myself after eating it!" No MSG's at all! Lots of gluten free items. Prices are great.

Delicious. Fresh, fast and yummy. I was looking for a good Chinese place close to work for carry out, and sadly my coworkers only knew of the place across the street. "That place has 2 stars", I thought. Then I found Chinatown was not too far. No pictures, only great yelp reviews. I must go, I said. And I did. The result is the pictorial tale you'll find here. I've had 4 different choices, plus 2 other orders my coworkers asked to get and everything has been spot on excellent. Reasonably priced, full picture menu for those who want to order but have 0 clue what anything is, and a flavor profile that will bring me back. I officially am hooked and I'm very happy I can spread the word. You must have the wonton soup or the chicken dumplings. So fresh and really good. Coworkers loved the chicken egg rolls, even going to far too say the best they've had. .and the noodles are perfection. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is i asked for my 1st meal to be 'extra spicy' and explained if you have heat you better bring it on. My cashier said no problem. When I had my spicy Mongolian beef, it was medium. I think because there were a lot of green peppers, they thought I'd think it was hot...um, no. That aside it is worth the trip here! Yummo !

Excellent food. I LOVE the jumbo shrimp with snow peas or brocolli. The new shrimp with curry is spectacular too. The prices are really good. The only thing I would complain about is that they don't serve beer and if I eat at the restaurant I love a good Tsng Tao with my meal! That aside, definitely worth your while!

It takes a lot to get a low review from me, but after 3 visits with the same experience, I feel it is warranted. First, the food is very good. Always fresh and enjoyable. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. The phone and register are always staffed by the owners (?) elementary school-aged daughter. She doesn't give a total or a wait time, ever. Upon the assumption that my relatively limited order *should* be ready in approximately 20 minutes, I arrive at the restauarant, only to wait up to another 30 minutes to get my food. Never order online - those orders get lost entirely. I am giving up on China Town, not because of the quality of the food, but because I don't want to wait an hour for take out lo-mein noodles.

I am so confused why this place has good reviews. Is it because they say it has no MSG? I have tried it 2 times now (because I work within walking distance and the options for eating veggies for lunch around here are few and far between). Once I got tofu with mixed vegetables. The "fried" tofu was mushy and gross. The sauce was a cloudy yellow color. It just tasted like watery salt. The vegetables were decent, which is why I tried it again. Second time I got chicken and broccoli. A pile of sticky, sickeningly sweet coated chicken with 3 sad little broccoli florets laid on top. The GOOD things about this place - wonton soup is delicious, and the lunch special is $5.75 including soup and a huge portion of food. But, you get what you pay for. Does not taste good : (

2nd time here, here is not salty and not so much Asian spice( like five star spice, cumin, salted black beans which I use all the time) so I like here already but first time I order combination. Wow, we order wonton soup for combo not usual spring roll, it was amazed me that is more than a cup!! Any way customer service today was not good but customer I see today is not rude, but asking too much! I mean ask not only a box... Any way I just back from NYC,less expensive place like here, people are not asking much in NYC!! Hey people! here is not fancy steak restaurant (may be do not ask much at fancy place?) just enjoy food , just bring left over, not ask other stuff!!

Just when you thought there were already enough Chinese restaurants in the West Bloomfield area, something great happened! A brand new Chinese carry-out - with a few tables for eating in - popped up on Orchard Lake Road, just south of Pontiac Trail. For our situation - my wife, Sharon, is violently allergic to M.S.G. (Mono-Sodium Glutemate), it couldn't have been a happier surprise! We walked in and thoroughly questioned the man at the counter about M.S.G. content, and we were assured, very politely, that there was absolutely none if ordered that way. We have been lied to before in various restaurants, so we are always very leery - especially with Chinese food. We both love it, but certainly don't want her to fall ill for 3 or 4 hours, like she does when she ingests it! Needless to say here - but I will - the story has a happy ending. The service was fast, the food did NOT contain M.S.G. - and it was delicious. She had Sesame Chicken, with a delicious sauce and chicken cooked to perfection. I had Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, which was also excellent. My only regret was that it had a white "egg drop soup-type" sauce instead of the brown sauce I prefer - strictly from an aesthetic point of view. The menu is somewhat traditional - like back in the day - but there is a great variety, and prices are certainly reasonable! Mine - $10.65 - hers - $9.95. Both full orders! No sushi or really exotic dishes. Just good old, "down home" Chinese! We both shared dinner and had leftovers, which we took to work and reheated the next day. Tasted even better! We're sold on China Town and can't wait to go back!

Great gluten free and regular food. More gluten free options than usual. Kind of a hidden gem.

Last night was the first time I ate at Chinatown and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I had a garlic ginger chicken dish which was great. It had huge pieces of chicken and the vegetables were all very fresh. I surely will look forward to trying more dishes at Chinatown.

I don't usually write reviews but China Town is definitely worth writing about. The people who work there are friendly, food is very tasty/ fresh, portions are huge, and prices are very reasonable. You really can't go wrong. After so many years of getting the same Chinese food in West Bloomfield, it's nice to have somewhere like this to change it up. Keep up the good work!

This place is so good! I'm celiac so gluten free restaurants are hard to find especially Chinese. This restaurant has many dishes that can be gluten free. I had breaded sesame seed chicken. So good! They used a corn flour breading. I order the dinner combo and for less than 9 bucks got soup, rice, and chicken. I ate about half on my dish. My date and I also had tea. We were amazed that they only charged us 75 cents each for tea and we got free refills. Also, all the food was fresh. No cheap frozen vegetables. Everything is fresh. Definite a great place.

I just ordered a carryout from Chinatown . I ordered the coconut curry chicken with brown rice.I asked the person on the phone if it was spicy and she said it was. It was the most boring dish I've ever eaten. It was not the least bit spicy. There was just a hint of curry flavor. And they gave me white rice. Very disappointed.
